Jack Wishna Stands With Jackson Estate in Calling for Show Not to Air
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Wishna, Founder and CEO of rockcityclub.com, and a friend of Michael Jackson, joins the Jackson Estate in calling for NBC Universal to cancel the airing of "Michael Jackson and the Doctor - A Fatal Friendship" set to air Friday, November 11, 2011. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of the pop star this week, and Jack Wishna wrote in a letter to MSNBC that the documentary is an attempt to glorify the actions of Murray and is giving Murray, a convicted felon, a platform that he refused to take in a court of law.
Friends for over a decade, Jack Wishna and Michael Jackson also worked together to help develop new musical talent. It was Wishna who convinced Michael to return to America after 18 months in exile, moved him to Las Vegas, Nevada, and worked with him to create the "biggest comeback in the history of entertainment" along with the programs that eventually would become rockcityclub.com, the creator of the first Social Music Network. This collaboration of Michael Jackson and Jack Wishna continues to help many aspiring musicians and artists that come through the rockcityclub.com platform.
"Michael was a very caring and trusting human being and it is horrible how Conrad Murray took advantage of Michael for his own gain, and did not care enough about him to help him through his pain. And now NBC is giving Murray a reward by focusing a show on his opinions and views and having him further tarnish the image of a great talent, human being and humanitarian," said Wishna.
"It is our hope that NBC Universal and MSNBC will show compassion to Michael Jackson's family, his loyal fans, and the many real friends Michael had and reverse their decision to air this unnecessary documentary," added Wishna.

Executors for the estate of Michael Jackson demanded that MSNBC drop its plan to air a documentary on Dr. Conrad Murray
Executors for the estate of Michael Jackson demanded Wednesday that MSNBC drop its plan to air a "reprehensible" documentary that promises a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the singer's relationship with Dr. Conrad Murray, but which they charged smears the late pop icon.
Michael Jackson estate letter to MSNBC
In a letter to MSNBC President Phil Griffin and the cable channel's corporate overseers, the Jackson representatives argued that Murray, convicted Monday of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death, uses the documentary "to shift the blame post-conviction to Michael Jackson, even though a jury considered the evidence and rejected this very argument."
MSNBC purchased "Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship" from a British production company and plans to air it Friday and Monday night, along with an "exclusive" interview with Murray by NBC News correspondent Savannah Guthrie.

A Los Angeles Superior Court jury convicted Murray for administering propofol, a surgical anesthetic, to Jackson and then failing to monitor the pop star as he stopped breathing.
MSNBC representatives had said earlier that the cable channel did not pay for access to Murray or contribute to his legal defense.
The producer of the documentary, October Films, said it paid only $1 for two years of access to Murray and a behind-the-scenes look at his legal defense.
Representatives of MSNBC and October Films said they did not know what arrangements might have been made by the film's distributor, Zodiak Rights. Zodiak representatives could not be reached.
The Jackson family representatives questioned whether additional payments were made to Murray.
"Was it really only $1, or was it more?" said a letter from John Branca and John McClain, who are co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate.
MSNBC did not immediately respond to the demand to cancel th
Ani La Toya nic nezmohla!Hello fans. This is Majestik. Unfortunately we are at the cross roads again. The documentary that is being released this Friday must be stopped. I have spoken to Jackson family members regarding this. They are endorsing you 500% in your efforts to stop this. It is very unfortunate that you, the voices for Michael Jackson, must continue to fight. Create awareness so that the world knows that Michael Jackson fans will let NOTHING slide. It is good for the world to know that if you mess with Michael Jackson, even in death, you are going to hear from his fans. Once again Michael needs you to come to his aide for his legacy and respectability for his children. What Murray is doing this Friday is disrespectful, unacceptable, and more than anything, very very hurtful to his family and children. Please tie up the phone lines of MSNBC like you have done so many times in the past! If you can, try to create awareness in the press to know that you are not accepting this type of behavior. The family is behind you 500% on this one. La Toya Jackson as we speak is trying to get attorneys in association with her father to stop this on MSNBC . The Michael Jackson fans show nothing but love, admiration, respect and above all loyalty to him. If you want to ask me any questions please feel free to private message me. Your support at the courthouse was SIMPLY AMAZING! I thank you, and this letter will be given to Katherine, Joseph, La Toya and other Jackson family members. I thank you for your time.
Much Respect ,
Majestik Magnificent

We have to give La Toya Jackson credit -- she did just about everything in her power to try and keep a documentary about Conrad Dr. Murray just before his trial from airing on MSNBC. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough to make a difference.
Speaking to TMZ, Michael Jackson's sister had this to say after revealing that the president of MSNBC actually contacted her personally to say that the special (entitled "Conrad Murray and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship") was still going to air:
"What I would encourage the public to take away from the situation is that Michael is an irreplaceable artist and human, whose talent and love for the world will forever go unmatched."
Murray has also been the subject of an interview on "The Today Show" airing thsi week.
After seeing the way that the trial went down earlier this week, do you really have any desire to actually
