Did Michael Jackson’s SUV Hit Ambulance In Alley? Passenger Claims So



LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

An ambulance technician claims that he was hit by a man on his way to pick up Michael Jackson in Los Angeles earlier this evening while he was sitting in his emergency vehicle.

Jamin Mauro told Access Hollywood affiliate KNBC News Los Angeles that he was on a medical call with his partner on Wednesday afternoon in Beverly Hills and had just arrived at his destination, when the ambulance he was a passenger in was hit by an SUV on its way to pick up the pop king.

Mauro claims a black Escalade came flying down an alley behind a medical building near Roxbury and Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, sideswiping the ambulance and knocking a mirror off the emergency vehicle before skidding to a halt.

Instead of stopping to exchange information, Mauro claims the SUV driver exited the Escalade with an umbrella and ran to the door of the nearby building. Immediately exiting that building was Jackson with what appeared to be a bodyguard, Mauro said.

After pushing through a crowd of paparazzi that had trailed the Escalade into the alley, the trio got into the black SUV and sped away.

Mauro filed a police report and was expected to visit an ER following the crash.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, authorities confirmed a, “hit-and-run traffic collision occurred in the Roxbury/Linden alley north of Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills,” in a statement.

“The suspect’s vehicle, a dark colored SUV, struck a parked vehicle causing moderate damage to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle was being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision. The suspect is unknown at this time,” the police statement continued. “There were no injuries reported. The collision is currently under investigation. There are no further details at this time.”

Michael Jackson should try to look normal

i don't know about you - but i think the former 'king of pop' aka michael jackson should at least start to practice looking like a normal human being - he's got those fifty shows coming up over in london kicking off in july (which is only like three months away) he doesn't look like he's even close to being ready to perform! he was out shopping in beverly hills yesterday - all bundled up looking like a freakshow (surgical mask and all) plus it was sweltering outside - he must have been so hot! (thankfully today was a drop cooler) with his completely sold out 'comeback' shows not far off - he seriously needs to make a few appearances out & about looking normal - is he going to do his thing looking like below? gosh - who knows when it comes to michael jackson - i'm super curious to hear how opening night goes - and also how many shows he'll cancel - you know he's totally going to call off a few - i just can't see him doing it fifty times! i'd like to hope he kicks major ass at his shows and proves he's still got that magical pop touch but i doubt that's going to happen - i guess we'll find out soon enough! popbytes over & out for now ...

Michael Jackson’s memorabilia auction cancellation makes Jacko’s fans happy!



The sale of Michael Jackson memorabilia cancellation has reportedly made his fans happy. When the exhibition had opened on last week. only a few dozen fans and passers-by went to see the items. Some even said that they were uncomfortable viewing Jackson’s personal items knowing that he did not want their sale to proceed.

“I feel horrible that this is even here. I’m a vulture for looking at this stuff that he doesn’t want on display,” said one Abby Marie, who dreamt of dating Jackson as a young girl.

Jackson hired the auctioneer last year to sell the contents of Neverland Valley Ranch, his former estate northwest of Los Angeles. Following their agreement, the company put together an auction of more than 1,000 items.

However, Jackson’s company MJJ Productions filed a suit to prevent the auction last month, insisting that the singer had not been given a chance to review the items beforehand.

Although the terms of the agreement were not revealed, a joint statement issued by MJJ Productions and Julien’s said that the exhibition would remain up until April 25.

“From an artistic standpoint we are very disappointed. It’s just kind of a relief for us, because it’s a resolution. Litigation is not fun for anybody,” the New York Times quoted Darren Julien, president of Julien’s, as saying.

Julien’s and Jackson’s spokesman Tohme R. Tohme, also the president of MJJ Productions, said that they had “made arrangements that will allow the collection to be shared with and enjoyed by Jackson’s fans for many years to come.”

Michael Jackson has possibly been involved in a strange hit-and-run with an ambulance in Beverly Hills after another round of antique shopping for Jacko. The incident took place Wednesday afternoon when emergency medical technician Jamin Mauro and his partner were hit inside their van while idling outside Cedars-Sinai hospital.

The vehicle that hit the ambulance was a black Cadillac Escalade, which sideswiped the emergency van and knocked off one of its mirrors. EMT Mauro claims, "We were hit by the Escalade, and I was taking pictures for my company insurance. About 30 seconds after, Jackson walked out of a medical building. He jumped into the Escalade and they sped off."

The Beverly Hills Police Department's statement about the accident does not mention the King of Pop and states, "The suspect's vehicle was being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision." So, it's not clear what legal steps will then be taken.

Needless to say, I'm actually quite surprised that Michael drives a Cadillac Escalade and not a windowless van.

Pay attention to when you see the ambulance. It arrives way AFTER Michael's car. How can MJ's car hit the ambulance when it is not even THERE until after MJ's car has been there for ages already?
Common sense, anyone?? That EMT guy's story is made up. Everything he says doesn't add up. He said he was standing there yelling at MJ's driver/bodyguard...and you don't see that either in the video. You just see that guy taking snapshots of MJ...
My favorite part of that guy's story....He said his partner hit his elbow to his own head. Now THAT I'd like to see. That's about the same as someone being able to lick their own elbow!

On the bright side, Michael Jackson finally appears to have a hit on his hands. Unfortunately, it's of the car, not musical, variety.

While Jacko's camp isn't commenting, an emergency medical technician has come forward to claim that his ambulance was on the business end of a hit-and-run yesterday involving the King of Pop's Cadillac Escalade.

Jamin Mauro told KNBC, Los Angeles' network affiliate, that the incident took place while the EMT and his partner were idling outside Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He claims that as Jackson's vehicle pulled to the curb, it sideswiped the ambulance and knocked off the vehicle's mirror.

Jackson's driver jumped out, umbrella in hand, to meet the singer, who was exiting the hospital. But, Mauro says, the duo fled the scene with nary a word about the smash.

Now Mauro is hoping his pictures will do the speaking for him, as the quick-thinking EMT snapped photos of the black Escalade for insurance purposes.

"We were hit by the Escalade, and I was taking pictures for my company insurance," he said. "About 30 seconds later, Jackson walked out of a medical building. He jumped into the Escalade and they sped off.

"I don't know if Jackson told him to leave or not. But they should have stayed."

The Beverly Hills Police Department confirms that an accident took place, "causing moderate damage" to the ambulance, and noted that the offending vehicle was "being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision," but did not confirm whether it was Jackson's car that did the damage.

Meanwhile, looking forward to possible litigation, Mauro and his partner told TMZ that they're planning on visiting a doctor later today, complaining that they got banged up in the fender-bending incident.
